Pawpaw (Carica papaya)
Papain is a proteolytic enzyme obtained from the fruit and leaves of papaya. It is used as a moisturiser and also for relief of pain and itching associated with bites and stings, rashes and minor burns including sunburn. It may cause skin sensitisation and allergic reactions.
