Analgesic adjuvants/co-analgesics

A number of drug classes whose usual primary role is other than the relief of pain are used in pain management. These drugs, usually called adjuvants, but sometimes termed ‘co-analgesics’, are used to supplement analgesics to improve pain control, or to control symptoms that have exacerbated the perception of pain.
